As expected from Aamir Khan and Yash Raj Films, Dhoom 3 set new First Day Records. Its a real records breaking film.
Its domestic box-office opeing day collection is Rs36.22 crores, out of which Rs33.42 crores from the Hindi version release and remaining Rs2.8 crores from the Tamil and Telugu versions. The film was released on 4600, 150 and 450 screens around India in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages, respectively.
The highest opening day domestic collection was previously holded by Chennai Express, which had collected Rs33.12 crore. The highest non-holiday opening day collection was previously in name of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani with Rs19.50 crores.
In North America, Dhoom 3 is released in 236 theaters. The opening day collection of Dhoom 3 in North America is $1.075M. Its highest opening ever for any Bollywood movie in North America. Previous record holder was Chennai Express with $745K. Till now, Dhoom 3 is the first and only Bollywood movie to do over $1M on its opening day.
Upto last information, Dhoom 3 was forwarding towards highest Bollywood opener in Australia and UAE.
