Nargis Fakhri and Sahiin Joshi starrer horror movie Amavas is directed by Bhushan Patel who has also directed Ragini MMS 2, Alone & 1920: Evil Returns. The film is presented by Viiking Media Entertainment and scheduled to release on 11 January 2019. It is said to be remake of American horror film The Ring. Now it will be interesting to see how far the film will go in terms of box office collection. The trailer of Amavas movie is average. It missing the x-content for which Bhusan Patels’s horror movies are known for. But it’s possible that film will have much more to make it hit at box office.

Nargis Fakhri is good attraction for the movie so far, but rest will depend on interesting direction and depth of the content to make it successful. Ragini MMS 2 worked well due to Sunny Leone bold presence and Ekta Kapoor bold implementation, while alone was favorable due to Bipasha Bashu presence. 1920: Evil Returns was good in its way but limited. It is possible that Amavas may do well at box office.

There are 22k likes for the trailer while 2.4k dislikes among all the impression givers from youtube video channel. There are 1292 comments for the trailer till time. So overall there is good curiosity for the movie but the trailer is not matching the expectations. The film will do good if it is well connected with the content and strong direction.
