Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor starrer The Fakir of Venice (TFOV) was to be debut movie of Farhan Akhtar 9 years ago, but Rock On becomes his debut movie as TFOV could not make it to release. This is the prime reason why both Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor are looking younger in the trailer. But as usually said, late is better than never, so the release of TFOV in India. Though the release date of the movie is still not announced, but entire marketing and promotion seems moving right. The movie is expected to release in coming months.
TFOV trailer assures to have interesting humor, conspiracy, lies, truth in the film. It is said to be based on true story of an Indian con man who is hired ]to find a fakir who can bury himself in sand for an installation art project in Venice. He finds someone from Mumbai for the project. But above that it is the story of two strangers who are brought together to carry out a deception. It will be interesting to see how they learn things during their journey for a successful project.
The trailer of TFOV movie shows a small insight of the story, but rest of the things leaves limited impressions. Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor fans are going to love this trailer, but for the rest it’s just an average trailer like others. Both of them have limited fan followings, but they are know to every Bollywood follower. It will be interesting to see how the movie will do in this era of content strength over star power. Lets see how the marketing and promotion of the movie works in favor. A word of mouth is important to make it a successful affair.
