Hollywood most popular series and one of the awaiting movie of the year in India, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is the next (seventh) movie of Star Wars series, and first movie of third trilogy of this series. The movie starts after the 30 years from incidents of “Return of the Jedi”. The movie is ready to release in India and worldwide in December month. It’s release date in India is December 25, 2015. While it’s worldwide release date is December 18, 2015.
Why delay in India?
Many Hollywood movie lovers are curious to know the reason of release date difference in India and abroad. There is no such official announcement but following could be main reasons among others:
- This Star Wars series do not want to fight with Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani big budget movies releasing on the same day.
- 25th is the Christmas day and New Year celebrations in India usually start buzzing from 25th onward.
- Is it possible, Star Wars movie is not getting ample screen counts to release on 18th Dec to justify it budget set for India.
So, to increase the business and avoid the competition, Star Wars decides not to war with big stars of India delayed its release date.
