Neerja Bhanot is a name of pride and honor not only for every Indian, but also for every human around the world. Neerja was the senior flight purser on the ill-fated flight Pan AM Flight 73, which was hijacked by four terrorists on 5-September 1986. She attempted every possible option to save every-single passenger and cockpit-crew on plane. She took every possible measure to save all passengers as well as identification of American passengers, which were prime target of terrorists. Finally, she sacrificed her life, shot while saving and shielding three children from a hail of bullets.
