This drama film is directed by Neeraj Ghaywan who previously assisted Anurag Kashyap on Gangs Of Wasseypur. The shooting is set against the divine landscape of Banaras, MASAAN is a celebration of Life, Death and Everything in Between. The movie was announced in Cannes 2015 with the name ‘Fly Away Solo’. It won FIPRESCI prize and Promising Future Award in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes 2015.
