A///n alien species has attacked the Earth. This alien specie is very much advanced from Earthians. They are unbeatable by any military unit in the world.
Lt. Col. William “Bill” Cage (Tom Cruise) and Special Forces soldier Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt) are together fighting this alien force known as Mimics. But most importantly, this fight is crucial part of a long battle. Cage is continually returning to this battle through a time loop.
Lt. Col. Bill Cage is was an officer who has never seen a day of combat in his first attempt. Into the suicide mission, he was killed within minutes, And then, Cage finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop. A loop drags him to live out the same combat over and over again. He finds that he is fighting and dying again…and again… and again.
With every combat, Cage becomes much able to face the adversaries with increasing skills, with Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski on his side. Like a real life video game, with each repeated battle they gets themselves one step closer to defeat the enemy and save the world.
