Arjun Rampal starrer Daddy movie is inspired from the true story of Arun Gawli. He started his career as a mobsters and later in 2001 became MLA from the Mumbai Chinchpokli constituency as an Akhil Bharatiya Sena candidate. Gawli’s life has so many ups and down, that his journey and success has become a point of interest for many, and this is what director Ashim Ahluwalia has tried to share with the world through DADDY.
It looks that Arjun Rampal has delivered a lifetime performance as B.R.A gang leader who later become a successful politician. He has smartly adopted the style of Arjun Gawli. But it’s not easy to cover the story of a person like Arun Gawli in the movie. There are many strong periods in his life that can work as free publicity for the makers if applied well. So it will be interesting to see how and what director Ashim Ashluwalia has shown in the movie to make it a controversy free affair yet strong enough for word of mouth publicity.
